Intro to Natural Dyes Workshop - S - Berkeley, CA 2026

Spend an afternoon dipping into the world of NATURAL DYE USING A VARIETY OF TEAS AND OTHER PLANT MATERIALS TO COLOR COTTON, linen, and silk. This WORKSHOP STARTS WITH THE PREPARATION OF 2-hour sample test baths using a variety of dye stuffs, followed by a lesson in creating patterns using tie and stitched resist to be used in a 24-hour bath at home. A $20 materials fee payable to the instructor includes: instructional and resource handouts, a dye kit with dyeing jar, dye materials, fabric, and tools.
