MAGICAL MEDICINALS Basic Herbalism with a MAGICAL TWISTWestern Herbalism and MAGICAL MEDICINES WITH REBECCA Saturdays 2-5pm 4/24, 6/12, 7/31, 9/18, 10/23, 12/11, 1/29/22, 3/12/22 $38 a class (possible materials TBD – will be an extra fee) In this class, which will happen over the course of the next year, we will focus on various aspects of Western Herbalism, Medicine Making, and Potion Making from a medicinally informed herbalists perspective. Plants and food are medicine, yet often we don’t see it that way, even if we know it’s true. In this class I will introduce you to my approach with herbs in every day life as well as on extraordinary occasions. Each class will happen at the various points of the wheel of the year. We will learn about the energetics of plants, how to make proper herbal medicine, and how to honor the magical potential of the medicines we make. Each class will cover some fundamentals of herbalism, a few plants and their actions, and will have a hands on/workshop element leaving you with a little herbal alchemy for the season. Each class will be a 3 hour workshop with approximately 1 hour of plant discussion, 1 hour of herbalism theory, and 1 hour of medicine making demonstration. A list of supplies and herbs will be posted prior to each class with items to acquire and have ready if you want to participate in a hands on way during the class (or after!) (Subject to change!)
