50 IN 50: LETTERS TO OUR SONS

In response to MacArthur “Genius” Dominique Morisseau’s curatorial statement, 50 original monologues - selected from hundreds of submissions from women of African descent from across the globe - will be read by renowned actors to include: Lisa Arrindell (The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Saints & Sinners, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Margaret Avery (Being Mary Jane, The Color Purple), (Juanita Jennings (David Makes Man, Star and Pearson), Lakisha May (Law and Order, Boardwalk), Xosha Roquemore (Cherish the Day and Brian Banks), Phyllis Yvonne Stickney (How Stella Got Her Groove Back, The Women of Brewster Place) Pauletta Pearson Washington (She's Gotta Have It) and more, with live music performed by Maritri Garrett.
