Walk It Off Girl Day- SEPTEMBER 19 @ Lake MERRITT IN OAKLANDF While leading more than 200 women on a 100 Day Challenge, it became more apparent ofthe need to really get the word out that we must walk off the weight of the world. Research shows that 57.6% of African American women are obese, and that is a lot of people and we can do something about this number. Walk It Off Girl is a Mindset Behavioral Modication Program Created by Dr. Lakita Long in 2009 after her many failed attempts of losing weight after the birth of her children. She finally got with her own program and in 2011 lost 50lbs. Success was short lived, because she stopped working the steps, she gained 35 pounds of it back. Battling consistently throughout the years, she did not make the next radical move until May 2017, where she vowed that she was going to get the weight off for good. She worked her program and lost 50lbs by December 2017. She wants everyone to experience the liberation that comes when you Walk It Off Girl. BACKGROUND OF THE PROGRAM INITIATIVE:  WALK IT OFF GIRL: GET RID OF THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD is a Program of Inspiring You! Ministries, Inc, which provides didactic training and programming for people to have their best life. It is educational, physical and provides consultations as well. It combines, mind, body, spirit and soul which takes a wholistic approach to changing your life. ON SEPTEMBER 19TH: * We will walk around Lake Merritt (2 Times) * We will shoot our live video and song that we recorded after the walk * There will be shirts, pictures and refreshing snacks (Shirts are apart of registration) * More information about the upcoming 50 Day Challenge starting in October 2020
