Come and join CROSSREF IN OAKLAND!We're hosting a free-to-attend
CROSSREF LIVE EVENT, in OAKLAND, CA on 19 September 2019 in
collaboration with the California Digital Library. The venue opens
at 9:30 and the event will start at 10am.
CROSSREF MEMBERS ARE WELCOME, but it will also be relevant for the
wider scholarly research community. We'll talk about what CROSSREF IS
AND DOES, and provide updates on what we're working on. We'll also
have guest speakers joining us to chat about wider initiatives, so if
you're interested in finding out about ROR [https://ror.org], Metadata
2020 [http://www.metadata2020.org/] or Make Data Count
[https://makedatacount.org/], this is a great chance to do that.
Agenda topics will also include:
* a look at how Crossref membership is changing (and how its
changing Crossref)
* a panel discussion on the member/user perspective, including
library publishers, OA publishers, and service providers
* what's new with Crossref
* how funders work with Crossref and the publishing community
We'd also love your ideas, questions and feedback. There will be
plenty of time on the day for questions and discussion, and you can
submit questions in advance when you sign-up or by emailing
feedback@crossref.org.
There is no cost for attending the event, but we do need people to
register as space is limited.
Lunch is included. We'll also have an informal drinks meet-up after
the day's events (details to follow).
We hope to see you there!
