Oakland Soul Art Jazz Music Festival

Join the fun, the excitement and the experience of the Bay Area at the OAKLAND SOUL ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL. It all begins at 11am on the streets of downtown OAKLAND FROM THE 1 FRANK OGAWA PLAZA IN FRONT OF CITY HALL ON BROADWAY AND 14TH; circling the block from Clay Street to 16th for a full day of entertainment, food and cultural expressions. There will be multiple entertainment areas including the "CIRCLE STAR STAGE' where our major stars such SHAE NYCOLE, straight from Nashville the rising star in southern Soul & R&B will be performing her worldwide hit "Do Right;" and "He Ain't Going Nowhere." Keep your dancing boots on the ground for this one because LES FRANKLIN is performing his hit "Cat Daddy," and "Hold On." Bay Area legend RAYMOND COATS who was just inducted into the Black MUSIC HALL OF FAME WILL BRING HIS STYLE OF BLUES, romance and party songs to the stage. It only keeps rolling when NZURI SOUL performs her unique styling and brand of soul. Of course the great NIECEY "LIVING SINGLE" ROBINSON will bring down the house; as will the one and only CHERROND G, another Bay Area superstar. Enjoy the LATIN HERITAGE MONTH Stage for one of the greatest tribute performance ever presented with TRACY CRUZ masterful tribute to ANGELA BOFILL; this is one you don't want to miss. PARIS ESCOVEDO of the Bay Area MUSICAL FAMILY WILL BE ON THE STAGE WITH HIS BRAND OF SALSA, soul, and meringue MUSIC. This stage is being presented to honor the legacies of National Hispanic Heritage Month in the Bay Area and will include performances, awards presentations, and special guests and show a appreciation for the Hispanic/Latine culture throughout the day. Our SPOTLIGHT STAGE is perfect for rising stars who want to get time to showcase so people can hear and see them in a huge performance. Our Bay Area Big Career Fair will have jobs in a variety of capacities including the Careers In Law Enforcement section recruiting minorities into lucrative opportunities. There will be an entire area dedicated to Small Business Development opportunities where you can discuss financial planning, investments, real estate, and meet banks that offer solutions to the community. Our special Community Tent will host workshops on health, wealth and education from guest speakers and partners who are looking to make a difference in lives and community. Can you bring the family?
