Surprise Pop Up Concert Featuring Rotating Performances By...BART
DAVENPORT...
Bart Davenport [http://www.bartdavenport.com] might be a multitude of
things, depending on whom you ask. He’s been a mod, a blues singer
and a softrock troubadour. He’s an eccentric guitarist and singer
with the timeless voice of a real crooner.
THE LADLES...
The Ladles [http://theladles.com] have three-part female harmony
perfected - but their sound is more than that. They are an
amalgamation of their respective histories and influences, blending
Swing, Old-Time, Motown, and Choral music into a sound all their own.
Using solely acoustic instrumentation and three voices, they create a
dreamy, otherworldly atmosphere that draws audiences in and demands
attention. They quiet noisy bars and liven up staid concert halls. The
Ladles are Katie Martucci, Caroline Kuhn, and Lucia Pontoniere.
MADLINE TASQUINE & SARABANDE...
Madline Tasquine & Sarabande
[http://www.madelinetasquin.com/sarabande].
Imagine a freak teleportation accident in which the humor and close
harmony of The Boswell Sisters, the pop sensibilities of Dirty
Projectors, and the rich vocal blend of Red Molly are fused into a
3-headed musical creature. That creature might sound something like
Oakland-based songwriter Madeline Tasquin's jazz-inspired folk-pop
trio Sarabande, who have been singing together since 2016.
Made up of Alaskan native singer-songwriter Shiloh Parkerson (Shiloh
& the Sun, formerly American Nomad) on vocals and flute,
Massachusetts-born vocalist & bassist Hannah Levy (Kitka Ensemble,
Little Arcs) and Canadian bandleader Tasquin at the helm on guitar,
ukulele and keys, the trio sings Tasquin’s musically adventurous
songs about everything from the cosmos to magical encounters with wind
gods to love in all its permutations... also putting their Sarabande
spin on songs by everyone from Leonard Cohen to Drake.
