The Electric Squeezebox Orchestra

The Electric Squeezebox Orchestra is the Bay Area’s own 17-piece big band, led by trumpeter Erik Jekabson, performing original music composed and arranged by its members. Drawing from a wide range of musical influences, the orchestra delivers powerful performances filled with groove, beauty, and subtlety.

The band performs every second Sunday at the Jazzschool and has collaborated with an impressive roster of guest artists, including John Santos, Kenny Washington, Alan Ferber, Dayna Stephens, Mads Tolling, Sandy Cressman, Kellye Gray, Avotcja, and Ben Goldberg.

The composers and arrangers, some of the very best in the Bay, draw from a wide range of influences and create music with groove, beauty, and subtlety.

The band, which began a steady Sunday residency at the Jazzschool, has worked with many special guest artists, including John Santos, Kenny Washington, Alan Ferber, Dayna Stephens, Mads Tolling, Sandy Cressman, Kellye Gray, Avotcja, Spok, and Ben Goldberg.
