Registration Dates in details. For campers ages 6 – 7, Junior Surf
Camp is a great way to introduce young campers to the fun of surfing
and surf related activities on the beach. First time campers MUST pass
a swim test BEFORE they can register. The Oceanside Junior Surf Camp
and Regular Surf Camp is designed for intermediate and advanced
surfers with a solid understanding of the foundations of surfing.
counselors will provide group pop up guidance on the first day as well
as very light individualized instruction throughout the week.
Additional activities may include beach games, a pier walk, ocean
etiquette, and ocean safety.Foam boards are provided to participants
to use during camp. Participants need to pack any additional beach day
supplies for personal use. Lunch, water, sunscreen, and swim suits are
not provided by the camp. We also recommend campers bring a
sweatshirt, a long sleeve, a sun hat, and two towels. Oceanside Surf
Camp does not provide or rent wetsuits, however campers may bring
their own to wear under their camp rash guard. Children may bring
their own surfboards. Hardtop boards will be subject to a skills test
to ensure the participant is safe and comfortable catching waves on
the outside. Any personal belongings, including personal surfboards,
is the sole responsibility of the camper and may not be stored at the
camp. The Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Surf Camp
takes place just north of the pier near the Junior Seau Beach
Community Center . There will be no camp held on July 3 or July 4. For
