Description
Sewists with beginning to intermediate skills are encouraged to join
this class. Linda and Karen will share their years of experience to
guide and develop your sewing skills. We will take you from where you
are and review and hone skills as you work on your own project. The
variety of assistance we offer includes: basics of operating your
machine, pattern instructions reading (quilting, craft or clothing),
alterations of patterns, how to choose the correct fabric and colors,
how to prepare fabric for your project, how to fit a muslin, beginning
quilting, how to install a zipper, how to use a rotary cutter, etc.
Skill development will be tailored to your needs and to your project.
If you don't have a project idea, the instructors will help you find
one that is appropriate for your current skills (ex. apron, placemats,
table runner, pants). What you will need to bring: sewing essentials
(thread, scissors, seam ripper, ruler, markers), your project and the
materials required for it. It's best to bring your own machine, but
there are some machines available. 4/4/3/4/4 classes
