Dates: Mar 18- May 20, 2025 Tuesdays, 4-5:30 PM During this 9-week
course, participants will focus on drawing as a form of design and
imagination. Teens will learn how to use drawing skills to draw things
that they cannot see or observe in the world around them, but rather
that come from their own imaginations and ideas. Students will
practice prompts and assignments that encourage them to generate new
and creative ideas and learn about drawing as the most immediate way
to capture an idea as it appears. All levels are welcome.
Differentiated instruction is provided to meet each student’s
interests, needs, and strengths. Throughout the year, participants
will explore a drawing curriculum beyond the basics, focusing on
drawing as a method to observe, design, and think about the world
around them. Participants will have a strong arsenal of drawing tricks
and techniques in their pockets and an expanded idea of the
possibilities and types of drawing that exist in the world today.
