Join us for a special evening as we present "TRIBUTE TO THE MAMBO"
with special guest saxophonist/flautist MITCH FROHMAN! Mr. FROHMAN AND
THE STANFORD AFRO-LATIN ENSEMBLE WILL BE PRESENTING BOTH CLASSIC AND
ORIGINAL REPERTOIRE PAYING HOMAGE TO THE CLASSIC NEW YORK SALSA AND
LATIN JAZZ SCENE DURING ITS GOLDEN ERA. There will also be a special
MAMBO DANCE PERFORMANCE ALSO!A seven time Grammy winner, Mr. Frohman
literally "lived" the New York Salsa/Latin Jazz scene through his
25-year stint as a key member of the legendary Tito Puente Orchestra
as also as part of the Mongo Santamaria band for many years. He is now
a bandleader in his own right as a founder of the Mambo Legends
Orchestra and as a leader of his own Latin Jazz Quartet, which
released a critically acclaimed CD "From Daddy With Love".
Mr. Frohman is internationally recognized as a pioneer in the idiom,
having been awarded Latin Jazz USA's Lifetime Achievement Award in
2016. He has collaborated with all of the greats - Celia Cruz, Joe
