The Youth Boxing Program is the final phase of the Ysmael Villegas Boxing Program. Participants will focus on developing their boxing skills through proper boxing stance, footwork, handwork, and individual/combination punching. Participants will train with heavy bags, speed bags, target mitt work and participate in situation sparring. Participants will continue to maintain body conditioning and training to sustain endurance that is required for boxing sparring/matches. The overarching goal of the Ysmael Villegas Boxing Program is to create a well-rounded fighter who can perform at their peak for the duration of a match, combining explosive power with sustained endurance and strategic thinking. Note: In person registration is required. Must complete the Boxing Conditioning & Training program and pass the assessment test prior to registration for the Youth Boxing Program. If a participant has prior boxing experience, please talk to facility team members at (951) 351-6142. No class on 9/1, 10/13, 11/11, 11/27 and 12/25.
