JULY 24—AN EVENING WITH ANDY WEIR, Author of _The Martian_. Andy Weir, author of _The Martian_, and the FLEET SCIENCE CENTER’s CEO, Dr. Steven Snyder, will discuss the importance of science in storytelling and preview Mr. Weir’s new book, _Artemis _(Crown, on-sale November 14, 2017). Mr. Weir will be available to sign books after the event. Copies of the _The Martian_ will be available for purchase thanks to our friends from Mysterious Galaxy bookstore. COST:  $35 for general admission. $75 VIP ticket, which includes preferred seating, front of the line access for the book signing and a pre-order for a signed copy of Mr. Weir’s new book, _Artemis. _Discounts available for Fleet members! TIME: 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) A cash bar will be set up. Refreshments and light snacks will be available for purchase. LOCATION: Heikoff Giant Dome Theater at the Fleet Science Center.
