Take a morning stroll in Normal Heights with us to enjoy art, culture, and conversation.
Did you know in 1910 the 810 residents in Normal Heights included people from Germany, Sweden, Japan and China? That diversity continues today—come and meet the community that is Normal Heights by joining our walking tour, where we will be visiting stops along a small stretch of Adams Avenue, learning about the diverse culture of the area, and hearing about public art pieces. This immersive experience will point out the details that make this place unique.
Here’s how it works: Show up at the designated meeting spot, listen to a few recordings on your phone (smartphone or web-enabled phone and headphones are needed) as we walk to each destination, and in between we will share a few more tidbits about the neighborhood, ending with an optional lunch at a local eatery.
The price of the ticket includes one drink at a local cafe.
Meet by the playground at Ward Canyon Neighborhood Park, 3905 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA 92116.
