About this event
As we all know, women are underrepresented in tech -- a recent poll
said only 8% of women hold roles in tech as software engineers.
We’re hoping to change that! Hack Reactor’s Coding For Women By
Women was created to provide a safe learning environment for women
entering into the tech space. Join Liz and Kelly as they discuss
beginner JavaScript skills. They’ll discuss our approaches to
beginner problems, share resources that helped us on their road to
code, answer questions you may have, and more.
These events will discuss fundamental JavaScript concepts and computer
science terminology to give you the building blocks to tackle code on
your own.
Hack Reactor’s software engineering immersive prep courses are a
great way to study before and after the workshops. There are a high
volume of javascript exercises designed by engineering professionals
to maximize your understanding of the fundamentals.
What You’ll Learn
Part 1 - Fundamental JavaScript Building Blocks #1 - 09/29/2021
Part 2 - Fundamental JavaScript Building Blocks #2 - 10/13/2021
Part 3 - Arrays - Where, Why, and How to Use Them - 10/26/2021
Part 4 - Introduction to JavaScript Objects- 11/10/2021
Part 5 - Introduction to HTML and CSS - 12/01/2021
Target Audience
Designed for beginner-level JavaScript coders! Each of these workshops
builds on the concepts taught in the previous workshop.
Workshop 5 (Intro to HTML/CSS) is considered advanced beginner level.
If you’re in the beginning of your coding journey, you should look
for other introductory-level workshops that are better suited for your
skillset and study progress!
