The President has been re-elected, the climate is heating up, and the economy is in meltdown. Now, it’s up to all of US to figure out what happens next. In this satirical participatory performance, audience members choose from a list of possible scenarios they want performed: Impeachment? Coup? Revolution?_ 20/20 _asks what people power looks like in a time of vast uncertainty, when even choosing to do nothing at all has its consequences. Developed by grassroots company Theatre Makers, _20/20 _combines speculative fiction and political satire in a work from co-writers STARDUST DOHERTY and KARI BARCLAY. The THEATRE MAKERS PROJECT provides common ground on which diverse communities can collaborate, incubate and stage newly created and historically relevant participatory plays exploring themes of social, political, economic and environmental change. _20/20_ is part of _SF by the Bay _(Feb.–Apr. 2020), the Main Library’s celebration of Science Fiction & Fantasy in the Bay Area. More info at SFPL.ORG/SF-BY-THE-BAY NOTE: The play's performance takes place on Sunday, March 1, 2:00-4:30 p.m. in the Main Library's Latino Room (Lower Level).
