EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING: EXPERIMENTAL DRAWING
Kevin Valor
5 sessions >> Saturday’s, July 11- August 8
10:00am-1:00pm, Studio 10, $245This 5-week course is dedicated to
encouraging students to work on everything and anything- drawings that
go against the traditional sense of drawing. Instead of aiming for the
technical accuracy or craftmanship of traditional drawing, students
will explore new possibilities, however random or disorganized they
may be. Students will be challenged to pursue any subject matter and
will be encouraged to execute it in whichever method they’d like to
investigate it in. Working in graphite, charcoal, or any water-based
material, students will immersive themselves in and become familiar
with the act of outputting without fear and hesitation. Critiques and
group discussions will supplement the studio practice.
