This combo bike ride and wine tour lets you enjoy a leisurely ride over the BRIDGE AND INTO SAUSALITO BEFORE HEADING TO THE WINE COUNTRY Bike the Golden Gate Bridge or spend an afternoon in California’s Wine Country. The day begins in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf when you pick up your bike and follow the self-guided course past Pier 39’s sea lions and other waterfront attractions. You’ll have plenty of time to take in views of Alcatraz Island, Fort Mason and the Palace of Fine Arts as you pedal up to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. All bike rentals come equipped with rear bike rack, handlebar bag, map & map holder, water bottle holder, bell, and map! When you’ve had your fill of selfies, coast down into sunny Sausalito. After dropping off your bike in Sausalito (included in the tour price), you’ll have enough time to grab lunch, and visit the charming shops of Sausalito before you board the bus to wine country! Our wine enthusiast will add expert insights and passion for California wineries to the afternoon portion of the day. Sit back and enjoy the scenic trip across the northern regions of San Francisco Bay to the California wine country. We’ll kick things off in the California wine country with winemakers who will describe how natural farming methods, cool night air from San Pablo Bay and traditional wine-making techniques combine to make distinctive and enjoyable Sonoma Valley wines. Next, we’ll move to a higher and cooler micro-climate where you will learn to appreciate the difference a few miles make in this grape-growing region. At an estate winery, capture the unforgettable sights, sounds and tastes of Sonoma Valley, one of the world’s finest wine-producing regions. After finishing up at our second winery, your bike rental and wine country tour from San Francisco will begin our return trip from Sonoma Valley. A panoramic view of the City by the Bay awaits you. You’ll finish this incredible day with a second crossing of the Golden Gate Bridge on the way back to our departure point.
