Amplifier’s Convening is coming to the West Coast! In a city known
for innovation, we will bring together ancient traditions with new
ideas to build a better future for our society and the Jewish
community. Whether you’re new to giving circles or an experienced
giving circle leader, join us to share your expertise and learn from
others. Together, we’ll take your giving circle to the next level.
Our featured sessions include:
ROOTED IN TRADITION: AN EXPLORATION OF WHY WE GIVE
Through a cross-cultural conversation with the Latino Community
Foundation [https://latinocf.org/], we’ll explore Latino and Jewish
giving traditions and challenge each other to ground our work in what
most inspires us.
BEYOND GIVING TOGETHER: THE FUTURE OF GIVING CIRCLES
We know that giving circles have impact above and beyond grant dollars
distributed. Giving circles are sites of collaboration, dissent and
transformation. Two special guest social entrepreneurs from Faces of
Giving [http://www.facesofgiving.org/] and Justice Funders
[http://www.justicefunders.org/] will join us to chart the opportunity
facing giving circles today.
In addition, we’re offering a series of fun, interactive workshops,
including:
*
Judaism in Action: What Jewish Tradition Can Teach Us
*
Leadership Development for Giving Circle Sustainability and Impact
*
Giving Circles 101
*
Reaching Across Generations: Learning & Giving Together
*
Giving Circle Facilitation Workshop
