Preparing for Death: A Story-sharing Experience

Wed 18 April 2018
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Ended

How do we have honest conversations - with our caregivers, our parents, our partners, our friends, our grown children - about end-of-life wishes? What helps us talk honestly about this vital issue, and what makes facing the awkwardness worthwhile? Explore the importance of advanced care directives and more through interactive, improvised theatre. Come to share or just watch.ZEN HOSPICE PROJECT [http://www.zenhospice.org] and the SF IHSS Public Authority [https://www.sfhsa.org/services/care-support/home-supportive-services-ihss] present as True Story Theatre [https://truestorytheater.com/] performs improvisational theater with heart. Audience volunteers tell important moments from their lives. Actors then honor these stories through drama, movement, music, and song. Audiences laugh and cry, build respect and understanding, and gain insights about their lives.
