In collaboration with SJSU Chicanx/Latinx Student Success Center, Modern Latina presents LATINAS & LIBROS EVENT TO CELEBRATE THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF LATINAS IN LITERATURE AND OUR LATINO HERITAGE. This complimentary event will feature Latina authors sharing their inspirational stories, book signing, Mexican hot chocolate and pan dulce.Panel Moderator: Magdalena L. Barrera, Associate Professor of Mexican American Studies at San José State University. Featured Authors: * Chandra Brooks author of Black, Brown & Political: Get Informed, Get Empowered and Change the Game! * Socorro Castañeda-Liles author of Our Lady of Everyday Life: La Virgen de Guadalupe and the Catholic Imagination of Mexican Women in America. * Diana García author of When Living Was a Labor Camp.
