As part of our Book to Action program, please join us for a free
SCREENING AND DISCUSSION OF THE PBS FRONTLINE DOCUMENTARY BEING
MORTAL. Based on the bestselling book by Dr. Atul Gawande, this film
explores the hopes of patients and their families facing terminal
illness and their relationship with the doctors, nurses, and family
members that care for them. After the film, representatives
from Kaiser Permanente [https://healthy.kaiserpermanente.org/] will
discuss issues brought up in the film, the importance of having
conversations about end-of-life decisions, and the preparations that
should be made in advance. Other local organizations will be present
before and after the film to provide information regarding additional
resources that are available.
Please join us for this discussion and be part of a national
conversation taking place in our community that asks" "Have you had
these important conversations and planned ahead?"
