Sea", which directs visitors to our mailing address and our office
address, not the boat. We recommend mapping your route to the US
Army Corps of Engineers Bay Model Pier ahead of time to ensure on-time
arrival for your sailing adventure.
WHY CALL OF THE SEA?
We're a nonprofit supporting on-the-water environmental education.
During the week, we host field trips for K-12 classes from around the
Bay Area and beyond. Community Sails are a great way to share our
mission with new people and to help lower costs for youth educational
sails. If you are interested in youth field trips, please check out
our website
[https://callofthesea.org/sail-with-us/field-trips/bay-exploration/for-teachers/].
WHAT TO BRIN
Please feel welcome to bring a reusable water bottle to ensure you
stay hydrated.
Please dress in layers. We suggest guests bring a windbreaker, warm
base layer, gloves, hat, scarf, sunglasses, and comfortable shoes. No
high heels are permitted to minimize risk for injury.
Cameras are welcome, but please be aware that water can sometimes
splash aboard and protect your equipment accordingly.
PARKING
Free parking is available in the US Army Corps of Engineer Bay Model
Visitor Center lot (see Google maps

There will be an escort to walk you down the pier past the gate.
WEATHER
Sailing on the San Francisco Bay is weather dependent. We sail in most
weather, including cold, wind, fog, and light showers. On occasion, we
will need to reschedule a sail due to extreme wind or rain. If this is
necessary, you will be notified within at least 24 hours of the
scheduled sail and we will work with you to reschedule or refund your
order. Our captains monitor the most sophisticated weather channels
and make every effort to bring you information in the timeliest
manner. We apologize in advance if the weather complicates any special
occasion plans.
TICKETS
A ticket is required for all passengers, including infants. Children
17 and under must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an
adult.
CANCELLATION
We do not offer guests an option to cancel or reschedule within 7
days. If you need to cancel please do so at least 1 week in
advance. Please note there are no refunds for guests who miss the
boat.
FAIR WINDS!
