Sunday Eco Sail- Marin Headlands to Point Bonita Lighthouse

Set sail aboard the Schooner Freda B [http://schoonerfredab.com/] for an ecology-themed tour of the MARIN HEADLANDS!This signature sail will take you under the Golden Gate Bridge and all the way out to Point Bonita Lighthouse [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_Bonita_Lighthouse]. This is a prime area for wildlife, and we'll have a naturalist on-board to guide you through the whole experience! You'll learn about the diverse ecosystems of the San Francisco Bay, with frequent wildlife sightings, and then return in time for SUNDAY BRUNCH AT ONE OF SAUSALITO'S many delicious restaurants [http://schoonerfredab.com/contact/restaurants/]. WILDLIFE: - Keep an eye out for life on and around the water. More than 200 species of birds call the Bay Area Home. Possible sightings: Brown Pelican, Western Gull, Cormorants, Night Heron, Common Murres and Snowy Egret and more... Life Aquatic-California Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Pacific Harbor Porpoise, Gray Whales, Blue Whales, Orcas, Humpback, Jellies, Sea otters and more... WINDBREAKER, warm base layer, gloves, hat, scarf, SUNGLASSES, and comfortable shoes are encouraged. PLEASE, NO HIGH HEELS. PARKING: Please plan on arriving a few minutes early to find parking and the boat. We recommend parking in one of the municipal lots [http://www.sausalito.gov/departments/police-department/parking/public-parking-lots] surrounding Sausalito Yacht Harbor. Parking costs between $2 and $4 per hour, and Parking Lot 3 [https://goo.gl/maps/aNEvpMsUKjs] will be the most convenient and affordable. Freda B sails on time and there are no refunds for guests who miss the boat! Walk to 100 Bay Street in Sausalito and then continue walking north towards The Spinnaker [https://goo.gl/maps/vGn7YgEL7yv]. You'll soon come across a boardwalk that will lead you to our dock (look for the two red masts). On occasion, we will need to reschedule a sail due to extreme wind or rain. Our captains monitor the most sophisticated weather channels and make every effort to bring you information in the timeliest manner. We apologize in advance if the weather complicates any special occasion plans. TICKETS: A ticket is required for all passengers, including babes in arms. Guests 17 and under must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult. SF Bay Adventures offers a group discount for regularly scheduled public sails for groups of 6 or more.
