BEFORE YOU SIGN UPWe are a local homeless coalition made up of
neighbors. We are all volunteers. We do our best to offer a
productive, engaging volunteer experience for everyone but we are
mostly focused on safety and the needs of program participants.
We're excited to offer this program and these volunteer opportunities
but before signing up, please ensure that:

_YOU ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER_ (We can't have younger volunteers
due to insurance limitations)

_YOU ARE READY AND WILLING TO ENGAGE WITH STRANGERS OF ALL WALKS OF
LIFE_. This program really is about building a community so we need
volunteers who are up to being a friendly face for those who join
us. We will show you how to do this.

_YOU CAN STAY FOR THE FULL SHIFT. _You may not be busy the entire
time but know that we need you there for the moments when it gets
busy. We also need your help setting up and breaking down.
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Saturday Supper is a new program we're offering that emphasizes
community, mental and physical health. Join us to help provide our
neighbors the opportunity to take a shower, enjoy a hot meal, watch
movies, and most importantly, connect with service providers in a safe
and welcoming space.
We need your help to make our event to serve our neighbors in need a
success!
SCHEDULE

2:00 PM Hot Meal & Shower Service
4:30 PM Clean-up Begins
5:00 PM End service
VOLUNTEER ROLES
We have five volunteer teams for this program

Set-up team - Helps us set up tables and supplies
*
Welcoming team - Greet participants, sign them in and help them
connect to the services we offer
*
Hot meal team - Set up, serve and clean up food. Socialize with
particpants and make them feel welcome
*
Shower team - Set up hygiene products, sign folks up for showers and
clean showers after each use
*
Clean-up team- Helps clean up the space, primarily dish washing and
sweeping
In addition, we do engagement around the site to raise awareness for
the program. We do these sign ups in a separate Eventbrite.
WHAT TO WEAR
Closed-toed, comfortable shoes and clothes you're ok with getting
dirty (we mean it!). We'll be setting up tables, cleaning showers and
on our feet most of the time. We aim to accommodate all abilities and
mobilities but appreciate you coming as prepared as possible.

A Note about Cancellations and No Shows
We rely on our volunteers to make these events happen. Due to high
interest in volunteering, an unexcused absence or arriving 30 minutes
late will result in suspension from our volunteer opportunities for 8
weeks. Multiple excused absences made within 48 hours of the event
will result in 4 week suspension from our volunteer opportunities.
