¡SIN FRONTERAS! – A Benefit Concert for Friends of La Peña Immigrant Rights

An evening of song uplifting IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES AND THE ORGANIZING EFFORTS THAT DEFEND THEIR RIGHTS AND DIGNITY.La Peña Community Chorus has been singing for peace, justice and solidarity for decades, standing in support with people from Latin America and beyond whose rights and livelihoods are presently under attack. We are excited to present this concert that celebrates the culture and musical traditions of Latin America. The Chorus will perform old favorites and new songs learned in collaboration with friends from our vibrant local Latino artist community. All proceeds will benefit Friends of La Peña Immigrant Rights (FLPIR). FLPIR works closely with other immigrant rights groups in the Bay Area to:     Inform immigrant families about their rights     Show up as observers and advocates at court proceedings     Provide information and training to employers to safeguard their employees and customers     Keep the larger community informed and engaged through hosting educational and cultural events and distributing red and yellow cards All are welcome. Seating will be theater-style.
