Join CMATO for a READING OF THE CHILDREN'S BOOK, "The Cat Who LIVED
WITH ANNE FRANK." When Mouschi the cat goes with Peter to a secret
annex, he meets a girl named Anne. Bright, kind and loving, Anne
dreams of freedom and of becoming a writer whose words change the
world. But Mouschi, along with Anne and her family and friends, must
stay hidden, hoping for the war to end and for a better future.
Join the California Museum of Art Thousand Oaks for a reading of
“The Cat Who Lived with Anne Frank” with authors David Lee Miller
and Steven Jay Rubin. Illustrated by the award-winning Elizabeth
Baddeley, this poignant children’s book paints a picture of a young
girl full of hope in a moment of oppression and prejudice, who wonders
what mark she will leave on the world, and who above all, believes in
the goodness of all people.
Following the reading, enjoy a Q&A and a book signing with the authors
and view CMATO's current exhibition: "Empathy: Beneath the Surface."
Admission is free.
