This group seeks to create a safe environment to support fellow therapists in our community, to discuss the challenges in our field, and to use these opportunities for growth. These opportunities may include: building confidence in your skills, practicing self-care, managing vicarious trauma, making the most of your supervision and other resources, acclimating to your new role as a mental health practitioner, and developing a professional network for referrals.
Goals for this group include:
o Gain tools for managing stress and overwhelm with your practice
o Develop self-care tools
o Process countertransference issues
o Managing vicarious trauma
o Share developing private practice tips
o Learn and support each other with how to navigate challenges in your practice
o Networking and referral opportunities
