ativities and programming.

down hours are 5 pm- 7 pm Sellers are not required to stay for all
open hours.

badge (1 full day attendee badge with table purchase).
Table reservations for Dealers are $50 and each include two full day
badges, one for the dealer and one for a helper (2 full day attendee
badges with table purchase).
What is the difference between a dealer and an artist? An artist is
only allowed to sell art that they, themselves, made. That includes
fanart or crafts. A dealer, on the other hand, is allowed to sell a
variety of things, like anime merchandise such as DVDs, official art
books, wall scrolls, games, cards and an assortment of other things
that the dealer might not have necessarily made themselves. That's the
only difference. Artists and dealers do not have separate areas, both
are in the same sections and both have the same table size.
Before registering please first read the Kin-Yoobi Con
Dealer/Artist Terms of Agreement and Limit of Liability for complete
information. Registered Dealers and Artists must turn in a signed copy
of this form.
To register as a Dealer or Artist, please complete and email the
liability form to registration@gzronline.com. Kin-Yoobi Con is spread
out among Hall 1 and Hall 4 of the Newark Pavilion. Hall 1 has the
primary stage that we will use for all our main events like the
Cosplay Competition. Hall 4 has the secondary stage that we will use
for panels. Hall 4 will also have our gaming area. We will assign you
a spot, however please email us with any special need requests. We
cannot guarantee a spot but special accommodations will be taken into
consideration when determining location. In particular, we will try
our very best to accommodate for medical needs. Please also indicate
any helpers you would like to register in your email.

ABOUT US:
Kin-Yoobi Con is back for its 12th year, bringing attendees a cosplay
gathering & contest, video gaming & tournaments, panel discussions &
workshops, dealers hall & artists alley, live music performances, and
free food! This time we're located at Sdes Alvarado of Union City,
offering photographic scenery for all your cosplay pictures.
The first time we hosted Kin-Yoobi Con, back in 2007, was on a Friday.
We used the Japanese word for Friday, 金曜日, pronounced,
Kin'yōbi, as our title to highlight the unusual situation of hosting
an anime convention on a Friday only. We had particular reasons for
hosting the convention so we have kept the name (despite now hosting
the convention on a Sunday) to remind us of those reasons.
What are those reasons?
- To showcase and share our interests, gaming and anime, with our
community.
- To learn more about these interests from ourselves and from the fan
community.
- To grow from these interests so that we can use them constructively.
The name is a constant reminder to us of our vision for the
convention. We don't ever want to loose sight of our direction.
We are aware that "Kin-Yoobi" is an obsolete romanization of the
Japanese word. However, several of us learned Japanese from a native
born Japanese college professor that used this particular romanization
as part of her curriculum. She was a major influence toward the
founding of this convention. We keep this older romanization in honor
of her.
Kin-Yoobi Con is about sharing our passions with each other and using
them as an artform for positive change. We're about having fun and
learning along the way. That's who we are. And that's who we always
will be.
