About: Ian Slade
Ian Slade is a health tech leader blending clinical insight with AI innovation. He studied AI under Andrew Ng at Stanford and teaches management and physician informatics at UCLA Health. Ian is currently working with former Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy on the Institute for Cybersecurity at Georgetown University. His TEDx talk, How AI Can Help Us Be More Human, is the first to feature AI as a co-speaker.
Ian also created “Hannah,” an AI companion that helps people experiencing loneliness, depression, and anxiety, reflecting his commitment to human-centered technology that improves patient care and emotional wellbeing.
