She has been a professional speaker since 1984. She has been a Gen Y Financial Educator since 2008 for Patelco Credit Union. She has been teaching Financial Literacy for the past 15 years. Veronica was awarded the acclaimed Innovative Teaching Award by Visa Corporation in July 2011 for her creative techniques teaching the under-banked and under-served communities of Oakland, California. Veronica is also a professional comedian, published poet and an award-winning speaker. She uses all of these talents to reach out to students to allow them to be positive and pro-active in managing their money and their lives.
