This Beginning Guitar class is for newcomers or any guitarist who
wants to fill in the gaps and develop a solid foundation for making
music on the guitar. This class teaches students proper guitar
techniques (including fingerpicking and strumming), how to read music,
musicianship skills, how to practice and play with others. We have
lots of fun and play a variety of folk and blues music.
Materials included.*However, students must bring their own acoustic
guitar!
Instructor: Doug CameronDoug Cameron is a San Francisco based
guitarist, composer, and music educator. He completed a Bachelor of
Music in guitar performance and a Master of Music degree in music
composition from San Francisco State University. He's taught music
privately and in the classroom to hundreds of students at all levels
and styles. Doug is an active composer for acoustic and electronic
mediums, and has written for local and national artists, independent
film/video, concert music, computer games, and theater.
