This is a MIXED ABILITY CLASS. The following kinds of riders are
welcome to attend. Because this is a one day CLINIC IS MIXED ABILITY,
please note that there will only be 5 spots available for "Learn to
Pedal" kids. Learn to Pedal/Early Beginner Pedalers: There are
sub-levels of beginner riders. In this camp, we welcome complete
beginners ages 5 - 11, who have never pedaled before, and riders who
are able to balance, pedal, turn, and brake especially if dragging
their feet to stop. Fear and hesitation may be noticeable, this is
normal. Experience and time riding make the difference, not age.
Confident Pedalers: We will be a set course that mimics city and
road experience such as stop lights, tight turns, narrow sections,
single file, and more all while riding with other riders on the
course. This course allows our more confident riders to repeatedly
practice drills on the fly to become safer and more confident
riders while also providing a safe and fun group ride environment for
children to enjoy riding. We promise you will see changes in your
child's approach. They will have fun, they will learn, they will be
active, and their enthusiasm at home will be infectious. Bad
Weather: This is a Mid October Class and weather can be hit or
miss. We will not cancel if weather is poor. Instead, we will be
hosting a PEDALING MINDS STEM PROGRAM FOR THE DAY INSIDE THE CHURCH.
It's a uniqe program that ties bicycles to the world around us through
Science Technology Engineering and Math. We will be hosting those
throughout the Winter...in the event it's looking like poor weather
I'll email participants in advance about what to expect and bring.
