Artist Rebecca DiDomenico and Dr. Stephen Perry for a memorable event
at Swoon Art House [https://swoonarthouse.com/] to celebrate the
efforts of the environmental and educational non-profit organization,
Billion Oyster Project [http://billionoysterproject.com], and meet its
founder, Murray Fisher. Murray is the creator of the New York Harbor
School [https://www.newyorkharborschool.org/] and Billion Oyster
Project and spent his entire professional career working to make the
waters surrounding New York City cleaner, more abundant, more
well-known, more well-loved, and accessible to every young person.
Guests will dine on organic light bites supplied by Jill and Chef Eric
Skokan's Black Cat Farm
[https://blackcatboulder.com/our-farm/overview/], a 425 acre,
Certified Organic and Certified Biodynamic vegetable farm located just
outside of the city that now supplies a bounty of restaurants,
CSA’s, and Boulder Farmers’ Markets. At Black Cat Farm, 250
heirloom and heritage cultivars are grown that range from some of the
old regional classics to the exotics. Because harvest at the farm is
every day, varieties are selected for flavor, not for storage and
transportation, which is all too common these days.
Master of Ceremonies is eTown's [https://www.etown.org/] own Nick
Forster. Nick Forster is a professional musician, record producer,
radio host and Executive Director of a non-profit organization based
in Boulder. He is most widely known as a long standing member of the
award winning bluegrass band, Hot Rize and as the host and founder of
the musical and environmental radio program, eTown.
Event sponsor is Scintilla Foundation
[https://scintillafoundation.org/], a foundation that envisions a
world in which people live in harmony with the planet; calling forth
personal integrity and collective creative response through
inspirational leadership, balanced ecosystems, preservation of
biodiversity, and cultural diversity- all the while holding a place
for future generations through our heartfelt, philanthropic actions.
