Description Welcome to Sertich Ice Center's LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM!
Your lessons take place on Fridays; January 10, 17, 24, 31 February 7,
21, 28 March 6 & 13. There are no lessons on February 14. In case of
inclement weather, please call (719) 385-5983 and check the city
website at COLORADOSPRINGS.gov/sertich for any lesson delays,
cancellations or facility closures. Please plan to arrive at Sertich
at least 10 minutes before your first lesson. This will allow for time
to select and lace your SKATES. SKATE BOOTS SHOULD PROVIDE A SNUG FIT.
Your foot should not move around inside of the boot. Feet will feel
best in light-weight socks. Clothing such as sweats or warm-ups are
ideal. Remember to bring gloves. Helmets are highly encouraged. Use
your free practice ice and free public SKATE OR FREESTYLE PASSES
DURING THE WINTER SESSION. Passes are automated. Check in with the
cashier at the front desk before the session begins and a visit will
be deducted from your account. Need a make-up lesson? Make-up lessons
must be pre-scheduled. Please call Pam at 385-6009 to check on
availability and to pre-schedule. Warning to participants, parents and
guardians. Although participation in supervised athletics and
activities is generally considered safe and serious injury is not
common, it is impossible to eliminate every risk. To help reduce the
risk, participants must obey safety rules, report all physical
problems, follow a proper conditioning program and inspect their own
equipment. By registering for this program, you acknowledge that you
have read and understand this warning. Those who do not wish to accept
the risk should not register or participate. The City of COLORADO
SPRINGS CARRIES NO INSURANCE FOR PARTICIPANTS OR SPECTATORS. EMS will
be called for all medical emergencies and individuals will be
responsible for all ensuing charges. Questions? Call Pam (719)
385-6009 or email pam.ingrassia@coloradosprings.gov Activity
