ON FRIDAY, FEB. 21 AT 10 A.M. A medical pioneer and beloved community
physician, it is estimated that Dr. Ford delivered more than 7,000
babies during her 50 years of practice in Denver.
In celebration of Black History Month, Connect for Health Colorado®
[https://connectforhealthco.com/] commissioned award-winning street
artist Max Sansing [https://www.maxsansing.com/] to depict the legacy
of Dr. Ford. The mural, completed on Feb. 1, is located at the corner
of 27th and Welton Street on the U.S. Bank building in the Historic
Five Points Neighborhood in Denver.
Remarks will be made by Connect for Health Colorado®, the Black
American West Museum & Heritage Center [https://bawmhc.org/] and U.S.
Bank. Residents whose lives have been touched by Dr. Ford are invited
to honor her by signing a board, which will later be gifted to the
Black American West Museum & Heritage Center. Please help US spread
the word! #DRFORDDELIVEREDME
