Sat 20 October 2018
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Ended

In this workshop, we will challenge ourselves to embrace character viewpoints that go beyond clichés and stereotypes. We will explore and interrogate the social influences on the characters we develop and take steps toward embracing purposeful and reflective play that supports generative experiences to inform future characters.About Ashley: Ashley Scroggins has been teaching, coaching, and improvising in Denver for over ten years. She has played with groups such as andCo Improv, Full Spectrum, Secret Service, Swarm, Queerbots, and more. Ashley specializes in improvisation and teaching. Specifically, she works in critical improvisation that actively and unapologetically pushes against social norms that dehumanize people. When not working on her PhD in Education, Ashley is an instructor at the Voodoo Comedy Playhouse, and she regularly performs in Lipsync for your Laugh.
