1. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2020: EVERYTHING ABOUT DENVER,

Learn about the history of the Mile High City. This is the first of
a four-week series of lectures on Denver. In particular, it will
deal with the nature of the city’s street system and early
history. It is in a private home, 1330 Monroe Street. The cost is
$15.00. (Monroe Street is four blocks west of Colorado.)
2. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2020: RAILROADS, SEX SCANDALS, AND DISEASE,
6:30 PM–9:00 PM
This is week two of Everything about Denver, focusing on the emergence
of the city, complete with sex scandals, the impact of the Leadville
silver boom, and how tuberculosis shaped the community. The cost is
$15.00 at 1330 Monroe Street.
3. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2020: AN ERA OF UPHEAVAL,
6:30 PM–9:00 PM
During the early 20th century, Denver was a center of radical and
liberal upheavals. On the heels of this, the Ku Klux Klan swept the
community in the 1920s. The cost is $15.00 at 1330 Monroe Street.
4. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2020: DENVER SINCE WORLD WAR II,
6:30 PM–9:00 PM
The final session looks at the shaping of Denver over the last 75
years. Included is a discussion of what the city is constantly
seeking to reshape itself on the basis of someplace else, the rise of
its crazy sports fixation, the politics behind DIA, and where the city
is headed. The cost is $15.00 at 1330 Monroe Street.
