A live PODCAST EVENT AND FOUR-course family-style dinner. Join
Heritage Radio Network [https://heritageradionetwork.org/] and The New
Food Economy [https://newfoodeconomy.org/] as we celebrate the LAUNCH
OF OUR NEW PODCAST COLLABORATION, _The Digest_. The evening will begin
with a reception and live conversation between_ The Digest_’s host,
Kate Cox, and Chef Alon Shaya.
Then, SHAYA’s team at Safta [https://www.eatwithsafta.com/] will
prepare a four-course, family-style dinner. Safta brings you on a
journey through food and beverage that pays homage to the culinary
landscape of Israel. With influences that stem from the Middle East,
Europe and North Africa, this menu reflects a collection of moments
where food and culture have crossed paths, offering a taste of an
ever-evolving cuisine.
And that’s exactly what we’ll be doing at_ The Digest_, too!
Each week, _The Digest _will take listeners behind the scenes of The
New Food Economy’s newsroom as NFE editor, Kate Cox, sits down with
her team of writers and reporters to talk about the week’s most
provocative food news. From the farm to the factory floor, and the
grocery-store aisle, _The Digest_ will cover all the compelling ways
that food intersects with culture, politics, the environment,
business, and technology.
_Hosted by Dana Cowin, Heritage Radio Network, The New Food Economy,
and Safta, with special guest Alice Waters._
