“I want to say to you: DOUBT CAN BE A BOND AS POWERFUL AND
SUSTAINING AS CERTAINTY.”Local favorites Maureen May and Jason
Lythgoe star in John Patrick Shanley’s stunning play, which won both
the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Play in 2005. Set
against the backdrop of a 1960s America in the midst of political and
social change, a progressive young priest’s conduct comes under
question by a nun whose beliefs are deeply rooted in tradition. This
powerful piece takes audiences on a remarkable journey of authority,
suspicion, change, religion and of course- Doubt.
