Contact Improvisational Dance (All-Levels)

Connect to your body with Alternating Instructors on Monday evenings at The Co-op at 1st. Come for the dance @ 6:30 and option to stay for the second session: on 2nd and 4th Monday, the second session (7:30pm) is a Breathwork practice led by Monica. All other Mondays, we host a CONTACT IMPROV JAM (all-LEVELS) with suggested donation of $5. It involves skills such as rolling and releasing, lifting and falling, giving and supporting weight. This constantly evolving movement form invites the energy of collaboration and healthy opposition to deepen and expand the possibilities of human connection with our bodies, the earth, and each other. The class and Jam provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for self-study and is open to dancers of all experience levels. Those new to Contact are encouraged to attend the pre-jam class and stay for the jam.
