Please join the Metro Denver Workforce Centers and Lockheed Martin
Space for an information session and testing for their Advanced
Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Program (AMTAP).
AMTAP is a nine-week certification program designed to equip
candidates with the skills necessary to build electronics hardware and
develop an exciting career in space operations. No experience is
necessary to enroll in the program. Participants are paid and offered
benefits during the nine-week training program. Candidates who
successfully complete the program may be offered full-time employment
at Lockheed Martin.
Everybody must attend the Information Session from 10:00am - 11:30am.
In addition to attending the information session, please register and
select a ticket to take a 15 minute assessment.

1. WHAT’S THE PAY FOR THESE POSITIONS?
The pay is $12.50/hour during the apprenticeship training, then
$17.20/hour upon hire. Pay is for hours worked; you will not be paid
for Holidays. Medical, Vision, and Dental benefits are offered during
both the training program and if offered a position after graduation.

4. WHEN DOES THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM BEGIN?
The program will begin June 2020 with the possibility of hire after
successful completion of the 9-week-long training.
5. WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
The apprenticeship program will be from 6:30am – 4pm Monday-Friday
on a 9/80 schedule (meaning you will have every other Friday off). If
you are offered a full time position at the completion of the program,
you will likely be given different shifts after that.
6. WHERE IS LOCKHEED MARTIN LOCATED?
These positions will be located at the Lockheed Martin Waterton Canyon
Campus located in SW Littleton.
7. ARE THE POSITIONS FULL TIME?
Yes, both the apprenticeship portion and the final positions are full
time.
8. WHAT DOES A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE LOOK LIKE?
* Must be a US citizen- facility requires special access
* Must have Binocular Vision corrected to at least 20/30
* Must have Color Vision - if cannot pass standard DOT test, a wire
test can be performed
* Must be able to pass a background investigation & a drug-screen
* Must have reliable transportation
* Have good hand-eye coordination
* Have fine motor skills - dexterity
* Have a desire & willingness to learn (experience is NOT required)
* Have strong integrity & ability to work well in team environment
* Hold a High School education or equivalent
