Local Castle Rock musician, David Chapa, and DCM Productions presents,
He Wore Black, a JOHNNY CASH TRIBUTE TO BE PERFORMED AT THE PARKER
ARTS PACE THEATRE IN PARKER, CO on June 30, 2018, at 7:00pm.
The show will feature, WS "Fluke" Holland, JOHNNY CASH’s one and
only drummer for nearly 40 years, and the last remaining member of the
infamous Tennessee Three. Fluke was the original drummer for Carl
Perkins and can be heard on the original SUN Records recording of Blue
Suede Shoes, the first SUN Record to ever sell over 1M copies. Fluke
was in the studio on the drums when the now famous gathering of Elvis
Presley, JOHNNY CASH, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins, known as the
“Million Dollar Quartet”, was recorded.
“MEET THE MAN WHO PLAYED DRUMS WITH CASH FOR NEARLY 40 YEARS. HEAR
HIS STORIES AND HEAR THE MUSIC THAT MADE MUSIC HISTORY!!”
Fluke will be performing, along with the He Wore Black Band, a number
of Perkins Rockabilly hits to open the show, followed by a TRIBUTE TO
THE MAN IN BLACK, JOHNNY CASH, led by local Castle Rock, Colorado
musician, David Chapa. The TRIBUTE SHOW IS A COMBINATION SONG,
stories, and memories shared with the audience from the man who was
there when it happened, Fluke Holland, and Chapa, who has spent years
researching Cash in preparation for this show that debuted in
Franktown, Colorado earlier this year to a sold-out crowd. Tickets for
the show may be purchased through the PARKER ARTS PACE CENTER WEBSITE
(www.parkerarts.org [http://www.parkerarts.org/]) or at the door the
