Howelsen Hill Snowshoe Tour - Steamboat Springs, CO 2026

Located in easy-to-access downtown, this SNOWSHOE TOUR FEATURES A CHAIR LIFT TO GET THE GROUP UP NEAR THE TOP OF THE HIKE (weather permitting lift use). The tour winds through multiple ecosystems full of signs of wildlife with an amazing view of the valley looking out towards the STEAMBOAT SKI RESORT. Important details: Location: HOWELSEN HILL/Emerald Mountain; parking is free on-site Time: Please arrive by 9:45 am to check-in. The tour will start at 10 AM and lasts about 2 hours ending at approximately at 12 PM. Where do you meet: HOWELSEN HILL LODGE, park in the main parking lot. Walk towards the base until you see a large brown building near the ski racks. Come to the double doors in the front and look for a friendly face. Transportation: You are responsible for your own transportation PLAN AHEAD- sometimes local hotels have shuttles that do not operate this early; secure your transportation plans as soon as possible. There is a local bus stop .5 miles from the meeting location; check the City of STEAMBOAT BUS TRANSIT TO PLAN. Registration closes at noon the day before the program. If we do not have our minimum number of 4 participants, we will cancel the program, notify participants, and issue refunds.
