Take It Outside: Outdoor Cooking Expo

An introduction to OUTDOOR COOKING TECHNIQUES THROUGH THE USE OF LOCALLY SOURCED SUSTAINABLE FOODS. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT OUTDOOR COOKING TECHNIQUES? DO YOU LIKE TO INCORPORATE LOCALLY SOURCED AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD OPTIONS? JOIN US AT THE TAKE IT OUTSIDE: OUTDOOR COOKING EXPO! Visit our indoor and outdoor stations to learn cooking techniques and recipes for a variety of meals you could make this year. Outside stations include Dutch oven cooking, open fire cooking, smoking, grilling, backpack cooking, and deep frying. Inside stations will feature local garlic and honey, a CSA, local maple syrup, cast iron care, food rubs, spices, sauces, marinades, and more. Our partners include: * E.R. Hinman and Sons Lumber * REI * Lodge Cast Iron * Clean Earth * Zelda's local honey and garlic * A New Hope Farm The expo is family and kid friendly. There will be hands-on activities for children at some stations, as well as door prizes. _Note: Pets are not allowed. Please dress for the weather as the event will take place rain or shine._
