It's 1993 and two quirky Hollywood producers are in a race against time to save their dying careers by creating a blockbuster inspired by old movies and their warped imaginations. Juxtaposed against the present, this hilarious comedy spoofs just about everyone and everything!
Lovingly referred to by its original title's acronym, "KCMB," the film was in production for 26 years and shot in seven states including Washington, DC! (Linklater eat your heart out!) There are homages galore! And we're not the only ones who think it's going to be the next "Rocky Horror Piccture Show"!!
KCMB is the recipient of 44 film festival laurels including having received over 24 film awards (and counting)!
Reviewers have said it is the most "unique" film ever made and the next "cult classic."
KCMB stars David Belafonte, Steve Kearney, Jack Plotnick and many other actors who were filmed in the nineties and sadly did not survive the film's completion.
KCMB was produced by Connecticut-based Craig Dobson and Stephanie C. Lyons-Keeley and was directed by Wayne J. Keeley. Stephanie and Wayne are an award-winning husband-and-wife creative duo who also have co-written, co-produced, and co-directed countless entertainment projects and Wayne and Craig have been business partners and friends for over three decades.
Wayne and Stephanie also are members of the Connecticut Critics Circle and they roam the state taking in theatre and reviewing it as well as other entertainment on their blog, Pillow Talking. Read more about them at www.somedayprods.com/talking.
