Featuring Keynote Speaker Karen Frantz, BSN, RNC and Tiffany Kenny,
RN, MSN, c-EFM Karen Frantz is a Women’s Health Case Manager at
Summa Health System, where she has served for more than 40 years.
Her case management experience includes the areas of Labor and
Delivery, Perinatal andPostpartum as well as case management for
opiate addictive pregnant women. In addition, France spent more than
20 years in the Special Care Nursery and five years as a
Gynecology nurse. She has been awarded numerous honors such as
the 2018 Sigma Theta Tau International (Delta Omega
Chapter) Excellence in NURSING RESEARCH, the Case Manager Award from
the 2013 First Annual Ohio Nurse of the Year Awards, the Cameo of
Caring Award in 2006, and multiple Nurses Week recognitions including
the Nurse of the Day Award and Care Beyond Excellence in NURSING
AWARD. DeSantis also remains active conducting RESEARCH, procuring
grants, co-authoring publications, and presenting her work
through various podium and poster presentations. Tiffany Kenny is an
informatics nurse at Summa Health in Ohio. She leverages data and
practice change to improve the quality and safety of care across
disciplines. Her commitment to clinical excellence earned her the
March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award for 2017. Her leadership in
evidence-based care has led to contributions in recent
practice-changing journal articles, including one in The Joint
Commission Journal for Quality and Patient Safety and an award for
the “Best of JOGNN (Journal of Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses).”
Kenny has presented multiple times at national conferences on
obstetric quality and safety. She has secured grant awards from the
American Excess Insurance Exchange and the National Institute of
Health. She coordinates her tertiary center’s participation in
national collaboratives including the Consortium of Safe Labor
and the Premier Perinatal Safety Initiative. Kenny has
extensive experience implementing electronic medical
records, manages the IntelliSpace Perinatal national listserv and
has hosted multiple international product development workshops for
Philips Medical Systems. She earned her BSN from The Ohio State
University and her MSN, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, from
