PHOTOGRAPHY THIS PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH TECHNICAL AND VISUAL FOUNDATIONS WHILE EXPLORING THE SELF-expressive possibilities of PHOTOGRAPHY AS A VISUAL LANGUAGE. Digital and Darkroom photographers will: • Encourage students to develop an artistic style • Learn to describe and critique photographs • Master basic camera functions • Gain an understanding of file formats, resolution, and lenses • Experiment with exposure control, capture motion and use depth of field • Develop creative problem-solving skills • Compose, frame and design lighting situations • Simplify digital workflow
