Ladies Night for A New Day

WHAT: You are invited to an evening of self-care and empowerment, by women, for women, to benefit women. The event will include vendors from women-owned businesses that specialize and promote self-care through personal coaching, yoga, CBD education, Young Living, makeup demonstrations, microcurrent facials, and massage therapy. Also at the event we will have special guest speakers Carol Hart Metzker and local sex trafficking survivor Ann Marie Jones, who co-authored A Shield Against the Monster: Protecting Children from Human Trafficking. During the event, enjoy wine and light fair provided by P.F. Changs China Bistro. There will also be door prizes and a ticket auction valued at over $200. WHO: Speaking and signing copies of their book at the event will be authors Carol Hart Metzker and local sex  trafficking survivor Ann Marie Jones, who co-authored A Shield Against the Monster: Protecting Children from Human Trafficking. Fighting back against pimps’ and traffickers’ explicit, vile and violent playbooks for selling girls, they wrote “Shield” as a playbook for community members who care about kids and want to protect them. WHY: Ticket proceeds from the event will benefit The Salvation Army’s New Day New Home, a local residential program that helps young women who were trafficked as children and have aged out of child protective services.
